Our middle school students have six academic subject areas: literature, language arts, math, science, social studies, and religion. They transfer between three teachers for their six subjects. They also attend an enrichment class daily: PE, art, or music.
They go to the computer lab for Rosetta Stone, Accelerated Reader, STAR math and reading, and Reading Plus, as well as for research and typing papers. We also have two class sets of Chrome Books that they use for assignments. In Rosetta Stone they choose from 24 available languages to study.
The students attend a yearly one-day retreat put on by NET Ministries to strengthen their faith lives, and the 8th grade goes on a yearly four-day trip to the Saint JPII Outdoor Lab to learn about faith, science, and leadership.
In the past years, 100 percent of our eighth graders have been accepted into the top Catholic high schools in Denver. Our middle school students leave us prepared for a rigorous academic education in high school and beyond.
